Migliore Named NJCAA Region III Male Athlete of the Year

MVCC Men's Golfer Dante Migliore was named the 2017 NJCAA Region III Male Athlete of the Year.

Migliore is a two time NJCAA National Golf Tourney Medalist and is only the second player in the history of the championships to accomplish such a feat. His four day total this year was 282, 6 under par, was only one shot off the all-time tournament record.

Migliore is also a two time Region III medalist. He was the medalist in 8 of 9 regular season events. This year's scoring average of 69.66 is believed to be the lowest in Region III history. His low round of the year, 65, at the Jamestown Invitational is believed to be the lowest round in Region 3 history.

He has been the MVP for Men's Golf for past 2 seasons at MVCC. In 2017, Dante broke his last year's scoring average and college record of 73.22 - includes Nationals, with a new MVCC school record of 70.2.

"These achievements are attributed to Dante's dedication to strong practice and work ethics," said MVCC Head Golf Coach Ruth Weydig.
