Track and Field has Strong Regional Showing

This past weekend the Men's and Women's Track and Field teams competed at the NJCAA Region III Championships at Hudson Valley CC. The Men's Team finished 4th overall.  Josh Dobransky won the 110 hurdles. Victor Rodriguez placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash. Josh Stuhlman finished 2nd in the 3000 steeplechase and was also a part of the 4x800 relay team who finished 2nd along with Alex Childres, Anthony Latella and Sal Latella. Jason Januario placed 2nd in the Hammer throw with a national qualifying throw of 125 feet 3 inches. 

The MVCC Women finished 1st as a team becoming 2019 REGIONAL CHAMPIONS. Francesca Donatello placed 2nd in the 100 meter dash and 1st in the Long Jump. She also anchored the 4x100 relay team to a 2nd place finish along with Rose Simmons, Sara Moore and Rachel Beaulieu.  Rose Simmons placed 2nd in the long jump and also helped the 4x800 relay team to a 2nd place finish along with Sara Moore, Julianna Behr, and Rachel Beaulieu. Julianna Behr placed 2nd in the Heptathlon and Triple jump. Rachel Beaulieu placed 3rd in the 5000 meter and 2nd in the pole vault with a national qualifying jump of 6 feet 9 inches. Sara Moore placed 2nd in the 10,000 meter run and 3rd in the 3000 steeplechase with a national qualifying time of 15:06.92. Kaylee Meyers placed 3rd in the Discus and the 10,000 meter run. Mio Sakai place 2nd in the 5000 meter run. Jane Fahy placed 1st in the Discus, shot put, Javelin and 2nd in hammer throw. Jane Fahy was also field athlete of the meet.
