Mohawk Valley Community College will host a Girls Volleyball Camp this summer at the College's Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive.
Designed for girls in grades seven through 12, this camp will be held from 8:30 a.m.-noon Monday-Friday, Aug. 5-9. Players will be grouped by age and ability. The goal of the camp is to take a triple threat approach to teaching the game of volleyball, focusing on mastering the basic skill sets, stressing the importance of increasing volleyball "IQ," and fostering a sense of team and sportsmanship.
The cost of the camp is $75, and includes a Hawks Volleyball Camp T-shirt and supplemental camp insurance. Campers should bring their own knee pads and athletic shoes.
