The #3 ranked Mohawk Valley Men's Basketball team cruises to victory over Tompkins-Cortland CC on Saturday by a score of 117-54. Mohawk Valley was led by Jonathan Dean who had another 21 points effort including a beautiful breakaway slam dunk for the Hawks. Justin Steed added in 16 points along with Adonis Fishburne who had a career-high 16 points on Saturday. Jordanny Cuevas-Marte chipped in 13 points to help in the victory as well. The Hawks has 12 different players score points on Saturday. Mohawk Valley's defense was impressive and pressured Tompkins-Cortland into some forced shots and turnovers. The Hawks pushed transition on the offensive end and finished very well at the basket. Mohawk Valley held a 54-22 lead at the break and continued to pour in the points in the second half.
The Men's Basketball team will enjoy the Thanksgiving break with an 8-1 record and get right back to work next Wednesday, December 4th, as SUNY Broome will come to Mohawk Valley for an 8:00pm tip-off coming off a nice victory over Fulton-Montgomery CC this past weekend.
