#4 Hawks continue to shoot the ball well and move to 9-1!

The #4 ranked Mohawk Valley Men's Basketball team improved their record to 9-1 with a win over SUNY Broome 112-71 Thursday night at the Jorgensen Center.  The Hawks had a balanced night scoring with four players scoring in double figures and sophomore Jonathan Dean leading the way with 21 points.  Adonis Fishburne and Jason Primus continued their strong play as they combined for 26 points, and sophomore captain Jordanny Cuevas-Marte contributed a double-double effort with 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Freshman Daimarr Miller made the most of his first career start in place of the injured Justin Steed by contributing eight points, three assists, and picking up two steals.  

Arthur Dukes, Keaton Goldsby, Jonathan Codrington, Nazaire Merrit, Jayson Delgado, Jordan Balcom, Ricky Young, and Justin Quinn all came in off the bench and contributed quality minutes and each registered points in the Hawks victory.  Mohawk Valley will return to action this coming Tuesday at 6:00pm as they will host Columbia-Greene who will come in with a record of 5-5 coming off a 77-61 victory over Schenectady CC on Wednesday night.
