In a back and forth battle, the Hawks Women's Basketball team dropped a close contest to now 7-1 Lackawanna College on Wednesday night by a score of 86-82.  The game was fast-paced and saw great shooting from both teams.  There were multiple lead changes, big baskets, and hard and gritty play from both teams.  The game had the excitement and intensity of a postseason matchup, yet it was in early December.  The halftime score was 39-38 in favor of the Falcons, but Mohawk Valley did not back down from the Division II powerhouse.  The Hawks started the second half slow, but battled back and took the lead and held it for awhile.  Jasmine Michaux led the way for Mohawk Valley with a game high 26 points and Lyrik' Jackson added in 24 points of her own.  The sharp shooting Falcons hit 16 three-pointers including seven by Miliesha Troche who lead the team in scoring with 25 points.  The Hawks fall to 6-2, but will host #5 ranked Onondaga CC on Thursday, December 12th at 6:00pm in a regional match up.
