The #4 Hawks hold off a great run from Columbia-Greene to improve to 10-1 on the season!

The #4 ranked Mohawk Valley Hawks Men's Basketball team defeated visiting the Columbia-Greene Twins by a score of 99-86 at the Jorgensen Center on Monday night.  In a game that had the drama and excitement of a regional playoff matchup, the Hawks prevailed after trailing 69-65 with about 11 minutes remaining in the game.  They would then go on a 13-0 run over the next two minutes and take a 78-69 lead that would help push them to victory.  Jordanny Cuevas-Marte led the Hawks with an impressive 29 points including five three-point baskets.  Jonathan Dean continued his hot play with a double-double effort which saw him score 23 points and grab 15 rebounds.  Jason Primus had another double-double himself with 13 points and 17 rebounds. 

The #4 Hawks will put their 10-1 record on the line tomorrow night at 8:00pm as they will host #13 Onondaga CC who currently has a record of 10-2.
