Spectator Protocols for Mohawk Valley Community College

ALL spectators must have a mask on at all times for ALL SPORTING EVENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS.  There is a 200 person limit to spectators for all home Mohawk Valley sporting events. 

We at Mohawk Valley want to encourage as many spectators to attend sporting events as possible.  In order for us to continue to do this, we need your help following the proper procedures and protocols.   

ON CAMPUS – (Softball, Track and Field, Tennis)

For Softball, spectators will stay socially distanced behind the outfield fence and deep outfield areas.  There will be NO SPECTATORS allowed anywhere near the backstop/infield area.  There are arrows painted on the grass where spectators must stay behind.  Use of the restrooms inside will be permitted, but only the restrooms in the rear entrance of the Jorgensen Center.

For Track and Field, all spectators will be outside the track area, and not permitted to view jumping events inside unless they fill out proper paperwork for contact tracing purposes.  Use of the restrooms inside will be permitted, but only the restrooms in the rear entrance of the Jorgensen Center.

For Tennis, all spectators must stay at least six feet away from the fenced in tennis courts on the grass near the parking lot, or the grass near the far side of the courts.  Spectators will not be permitted to sit on the pathway near the storage shed, and must maintain six feet of social distancing at all times.  Use of the restrooms inside will be permitted, but only the restrooms in the rear entrance of the Jorgensen Center.

DONOVAN STADIUM – MURNANE FIELD (Baseball)

This is a COUNTY facility, not a college facility, and there are different protocols that must be followed.  ALL spectators will wear a mask at all times.  Upon arrival to the Stadium, each person will sign in at the front gate with Mohawk Valley employee.  This is a county contact tracing paper to keep track of all people in the facility. 

Upon filling out the paperwork, each spectator acknowledges that they will wear a mask at all times, have not been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last seven days, the number of people in their party, and that they will view the game from the grandstands.  There will be NO SPECTATORS allowed to be anywhere near the dugouts or viewing the game from on the fence at field level.  ALL SPECTATORS WILL BE IN THE GRANDSTANDS OR BLEACHERS! Use of the restroom facility behind the grandstand is permitted. 

PROCTOR STADIUM – (Men's/Women's Soccer)

All spectators will wear a mask at all times and will stay socially distanced at least six feet apart from people not in their traveling party.  There will NO SPECTATORS permitted to view the game from field level, they MUST stay in the stands at all times.  The only entrance open for fans is from the top level behind the stadium.  Use of the restrooms are permitted.
