The MVCC Men's Basketball team advanced to the NJCAA Division III National Basketball Championship semifinals following a 101-93 win over Nassau Community College on Thursday evening in Rochester, Minnesota.

Jordanny Cuevas-Marte scored 32 points and Jonathan Dean added 29 more as the #2 ranked Hawks extended a 40-35 halftime lead to double digits in the second half.  

Five Hawks scored in double figures (Nazaire Merrit with 14 points, Justin Sneed with 13 points and Jonathan Codrington with 10 points) as MV put up their 15th 100+ point game of the season.  

MVCC will play in the national semis at 2 p.m. Friday.  The winner of the 2 p.m. game will advance to the NJCAA National Championship game on Friday night as the NJCAA tourney is shortened by a day due to the coronavirus.
