MVCC freshman Dante Migliore won the NJCAA Division III National Golf title by recording an eagle on the par-5 fifth hole of the playoff round to clinch the individual title.
Migliore, who shot a 68 on the day, had to wait to see how Georgia Northwestern Technical College freshman Chase Cole would finish his round. Cole also shot a 68 and finished tied with Migliore at 1-over 289.
Migliore and Cole then entered a sudden death playoff. They remained tied until Migliore hit a 12-foot eagle putt to claim top honors.
Migliore finished the four day tournament with rounds of 73, 73, 75 and 68.
Freshman Bobby Davenport shot a fourth round 74 (318 total) and finished with a tie for 35th place.
Congratulations to Dante, Bobby and Coach Ruth Weydig on a great season.
