The Mohawk Valley Community College Men's Soccer team earned a 3-1 road victory vs Mercyhurst Northeast.
In the 24th minute, Erick Ramos served a set piece in the box that Abdi Somow finished to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. 4 minutes later, Abdi Somow slipped Trevor Worden in behind for his first goal of the season which gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead going into halftime. In the 50th minute the Hawks gave up a penalty kick which resulted in a Mercyhurst goal. In the 81st minute the Hawks received a penalty kick and Issak Somow buried it home to give the Hawks a 3-1 lead. Santiago Rojas made his second start for the Hawks and finished the game with 4 saves.
The Men's Soccer team returns to action in their home opener on Saturday at 3:00pm vs defending national champions Genesee Community College.
