The MVCC Men's Cross Country team won their second consecutive Region III Championship at Finger Lakes CC on Saturday.

Zakaria Djouma won the regional title by finishing the race in 28:06.6, capping off an undefeated season for the Utica native.  Tyler Beattie finished the 8k second overall with a time of 29:46.8. 

Alec Ambrose took 4th place (29:55.8), Nick Cecilia (31:02.5) was 7th and freshman Mike Warchol rounded out the Hawks top 5 by finishing 9th with a time of 31:11.5.

Kevin Maas was the Hawks 6th finisher (11th overall with a time of 31:20.0), Tyler Unislawski posted a time of 34:54.3 (27th place) and Alex Buck crossed the finish line in 37:50.7 (37th place).

The Hawks will compete in the NJCAA National Cross Country Championships at Holyoke Community College in Massachusetts on Saturday, November 7th.
