This past weekend the MVCC Cross Country team had their opener at SUNY Poly. The mens team had a strong showing led by an outstanding performance from Omar Mohamed who placed first overall with a time of 21:02.5 Omar lead the race from start before being challenged at the line with a dramatic sprint finish to secure the win.

"I was Pleased with everyone's individual performances especially, Omars finishing sprint. He wanted to win, and you can't teach heart." - said Head Cross Country Coach Durell Cull, on Saturday afternoon. 

The team will travel to Cobleskill on Saturday for their second race of the season.
