In game #1, of the afternoon, Faith Hicks and Brianna Grogg turned in impressive offensive performances, but their efforts were not enough to prevent their team from suffering a tough loss. Despite the defeat, the duo showed their ability to make solid contact and get on base, providing a glimpse of the potential they bring to their team's offense.
Hicks led the way at the plate, going 2 for 3 with a double, a single, and a run scored. She consistently put the ball in play and used her speed to generate scoring opportunities for her team. Grogg was also impressive, going 2 for 3 with a double, showing off her power and ability to drive the ball to the gaps.
Unfortunately, despite the strong showing by Hicks and Grogg, their team struggled to generate offense against a tough opponent. They were held to just one run, a deficit that proved too large to overcome. The team's pitching and defense also struggled. Herkimer started strong in the first inning with four hits, followed by a walk. The Hawks allowed four runs in the first making it difficult to mount a comeback. Ultimately, MV gave up nine runs over seven innings.
While the loss was disappointing, Hicks and Grogg can take pride in their strong performances. They showed that they can make an impact at the plate and provide a spark for their team's offense. As they look ahead to future games, they will undoubtedly continue to be key contributors to their team's success, and their teammates will look to them to help generate more runs and secure more victories.
Herkimer came out with a bang. Neff allowed four hits and a walk, leading to four earned runs. Kendall Darling was called upon for relief in the second inning and provided a solid effort, but unfortunately, it was not enough to help her team secure a victory. She allowed two earned runs and three unearned runs.
 
 
 
In game #2, Mackenzie Emmons, Brianna Grogg, and Megan O'Connell all had strong performances at the plate, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to secure the win for their team.
Emmons went 2 for 4 with two singles, showing her ability to make solid contact and put the ball in play. Grogg also had a standout day at the plate, going 1 for 1 with a home run and a walk. Her home run was a clutch hit that helped keep her team in the game. O'Connell contributed a key hit as well, driving in a run with a triple in the third inning.
Despite the efforts of Emmons, Grogg, and O'Connell, their team fell short in the end, losing by a score of 7-4. The team's pitching and defense struggled to contain the opposing team's offense, allowing too many runs to be scored.
While the loss is disappointing, the strong offensive performances by Emmons, Grogg, and O'Connell provide a silver lining for their team. Their teammates and coaches will look to them for continued offensive production in future games, and they will undoubtedly continue to be key players for their team moving forward.
Alivia Neff took the mound and pitched a solid game, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to secure the win for her team. Neff allowed five unearned runs and two earned runs over the course of the game, showing her ability to limit damage and work out of difficult situations. She struck out five batters, displaying her command and control on the mound.
