Carley Robinson (Whitesboro, NY), Joely Welpe (Utica, NY), and Kylei Cavelino (Liverpool, NY) led the way at the plate with two hits each, Welpe and Cavelino each doing so with an RBI as well. Sarah Zuchowski (Poland, NY), Angelina Hays (Oriskany, NY), Chelsi VanDeusen (Otego, NY), and Faith Hicks (Vestal, NY) each had one, while Hays led the team with two RBI.
Game 2: MVCC 7, Adirondack 4 (7 innings)
MVCC scored seven runs on five hits in game two with Ashley Fevang (East Islip, NY) and Joely Welpe (Utica, NY) having two each. Welpe had an outing for the ages with a grand slam in the third inning to seal the win for the Hawks. She went two for three, scoring two runs and four RBI. Angelina Hays (Oriskany, NY) went one for three with one run.
