The MVCC Lady Hawks Cross Country team tied Herkimer for first place at the Mountain Valley Conference Championships held at SUNY Adirondack on Saturday.
Kimberly Wrate was Hawks top finisher and took third overall (21:31.45) in the 5K race to lead the Hawks. Iyanna Harris (21:53.47) and Divah Johnson (22:47.74) finished fourth and sixth, respectively. Morgan Steere placed 13th (26:03.10) with Chelsia Gugliemi 17th overall (27:43.26).
Other Hawks finishers included Taylor Scalzo (28:18.78) and Brandy Torres (32:12.38).
Wrate, Harris and Johnson were named to the All Conference team.
MVCC will compete in the Region III Championships at Finger Lakes Community College on October 28th.
