Local soccer star Megan Canipe will join MVCC’s Women Soccer Team this fall.

Megan, who has accepted a seat in MVCC’s Radiologic Technology program, comes to the Hawks from the Class B soccer powerhouse, Central Valley Academy — Section Finalist in 2022, Sectional Final Four in 2021 and 2022, and TVL Champions in 2021. Megan is a Section 3 All-Star and a TVL First Team All-Star. She finished the season with 13 goals and 27 assists and holds both the season and career assist record at CVA. She is first in assists in Class B and second in Section 3.

“Megan is a play maker and sees the field really well. Meg is a quiet leader that leads by example,” said CVA Head Coach Jonna Costin.

Megan is a member of the Coliseum Soccer Club where she is a standout on the Premier Coliseum Inferno 05 team. Her club team is 2022, 2021 2019, 2017 ENY State Champions, 2021 USYS North Atlantic Conference Champions, 2021 USYS Regional Showcase Champions, and 2019 NPL GLA League Champions.

Megan is comfortable competing at the highest level. She is a focused, competitive person with a high soccer IQ. We are excited to have her contribute to our program and to join our MVCC soccer family.
