The MVCC Baseball team recently visited the Feed our Veterans organization on Broad St. in Utica. The Hawks received a brief tour of the facility and information from Feed Our Vets representative Joe Ancona (pictured with the Hawks). The baseball team went on to donate over 500 pounds of non-perishable grocery items along with a variety of bathroom toiletries.

Since February 2009, Feed Our Vets has provided free food assistance to over 52,00 Veterans, active-duty members and their families, distributing 3.85 million pounds of food, and over $275,000 in gift cards. Feed Our Vets mission is to help Veterans in the United States, their spouses and children, whose circumstances have left them on the battlefield of hunger, and to involve the public in fighting Veteran hunger.
