After suffering two tough losses to Regional power Herkimer College on Sunday the MVCC baseball team bounced back in a big way with a 10-0 victory over Columbia Greene CC in a game shortened to 6 innings due to the run rule. Ryan Leos was the star of the show as the freshman Right Hander went the distance on the mound pitching all 6 innings for the shutout allowing only 4 hits with 6 strikeouts and no walks. Leos also contributed a double on offense to help his own cause. Franklyn Gutierrez, Jack Morotti and TJ Scholl had two hits each for MVCC in the victory. 

Game two of the doubleheader was suspended due to weather in the bottom of the 4th inning with the Hawks holding a 13-3 lead. No resumption date has been anounced. MVCC heads to Shuttleworth Park in Amsterdam to take on a tough Fulton Montgomery CC Team on Thursday before returning home to face the Raiders on Sunday at Accelerate Sports. Start time is 2pm for each Doubleheader.
