The Mohawk Valley Women's Tennis team remains undefeated after beating Herkimer by a score of 8-1 Wednesday evening. The Hawks won all three doubles sessions with the teams of Rebecca Huynh and Lotte Van Heeswijk, Tessie and Marlee Shafer, and Sha Wee and Morgan Kirkland all being victorious.
The Hawks were able to secure wins in five of the six singles flights with Philymena DiKar, Tessie Shafer, Sha Wee, Marlee Shafer, and Morgan Kirkland all winning their matches. The lone defeat came when Lotte Van Heeswijk lost a back and forth match with Herkimer's Anderson Eggleston by a score of 8-6 in the final match of the day. The full box scores are listed below.
Mohawk Valley will return to the courts Friday afternoon as they travel to the Tri-City Fitness Club to play Hudson Valley in the regular season finale before returning home to host the regional championship tournament on Sunday, May 4th at the Parkway Courts in Utica.
