#4 Nationally Ranked MVCC Men's Soccer Topples TC3 Panthers with an 8-2 Victory

Mohawk Valley Community College's men's soccer team, ranked fourth nationally, showcased their offensive prowess in a commanding 8-2 win over the Tompkins Cortland Community College Panthers. The Hawks came out strong early and never looked back, scoring 5 goals in the first 25 minutes of the match. 

MVCC provided a flurry of goals in the first half. Davi Pena Moretzsohn ignited the scoring with a goal just over six minutes into the game. Francesco Tagliavini and Bakir Omercevic followed, combining to give MVCC a significant lead before the half.

Javier Montesinos Da continued the scoring spree with two crucial goals, supported by key assists from Souayibou Diop and Diego Silva, helping MVCC build a commanding advantage. 

In the second half, the Hawks maintained their dominance, with Fran Molina-Villafan sealing the game with the eighth goal. Souayibou Diop's midfield creativity and passing accuracy played a vital role in maintaining offensive momentum throughout the match.

Goalkeepers Anderson Costa Filho and Leo Elsdon combined for 90 minutes in goal for the Hawks. The Hawks are unbeaten in their last 8 games while averaging over 5 goals per game during their unbeaten streak. 

The Hawks will travel to Genesee Community College for a 4:00PM kickoff on Friday, October 17th. The Hawks will conclude their regular season on Monday, October 20th when they host Hudson Valley Community College at Accelerate Sports with a 4:00PM kickoff.
