MVCC split todays Region III baseball doubleheader played at SUNY Jefferson. The Hawks erupted in the first game winning by a score of 14-2 in a game shortened to 5 innings due to the run rule. Kevin DelVecchio and Benny Welch homered for MV. Josh Gross and Joe Ilacqua added two hits a piece to back up the pitching of Austin Stoquert and Hunter Harmon.
MV dropped game two as they could not get to JCC southpaw Kolby Robinson in a 6-1 defeat. Kevin Del Vecchio had the lone multi hit game for the Hawks. MVCC will return to action next Tuesday at home where they will once again square off with Jefferson.
