MVCC baseball drops doubleheader to Nationally Ranked Hudson Valley CC
The MVCC baseball team dropped a doubleheader to Nationally Ranked Hudson Valley CC on Tuesday.

In game one HVCC broke open a close game with 6 runs in the 6th inning to go on to a 12-1 win. Freshman Hunter Harmon had another solid outing with 8 strikeouts in 5 innings of work and fellow Freshman Kaname Kanda had two hits at the plate.

In game two a late MVCC rally fell just short in a 9-7 loss. Freshman Austin Stoquert pitched 6 strong innings allowing only four earned runs. Alex Frisone 's seventh inning two RBI double and Joe Ilacqua's RBI single brought the Hawks to within two but the Hawks could not complete the comeback. Jack Morotti had a three RBI triple earlier in the game and Kevin Del Vecchio doubled for MVCC which dropped its 8th straight game during a stretch where they have faced two National top 10 teams and a Division II opponent.

The young Hawks will host Nationally ranked Herkimer College on Thursday at Donovan Stadium.
