Joe Scalise is a 1996 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Utica, NY. He played varsity baseball for Notre Dame and was part of the 1995 Section III champs who went on to the New York State Final Four.

After high school he went on to play at Onondaga Community College where he received the Co-Coach's Award for first year players and was awarded MVP honors in his second year.

Coach Scalise went on to SUNY Buffalo where he received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology and another BS in Physical Therapy in 2002. He now enjoys a successful career as a PT for VNA of Central New York and holds multiple per diem PT positions.
