Coach Dave Warren took over in 2001 as the skipper of the MVCC Baseball program. He has been a full-time employee of MVCC since December of 1997 as the Assistant to the Director of Athletics. A native of Mohawk, N.Y., Warren was a three-sport athlete at Gregory B. Jarvis High School, excelling in football and baseball to earn All-League honors in both sports. He is one of a select few athletes from the school to ever be named as a baseball All-Star for three consecutive years. Warren went on to Herkimer County Community College to play for former MVCC Coach Joe Milazzo. While with the Generals, Warren accumulated a two-year batting average of .360 as a leadoff hitter and centerfielder to go along with All-Region and All New York State JUCO honors. He was also nominated as an Academic All-American and was named HCCC's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.81 grade point average. He finished his college career at SUNY Cortland, where he earned a degree in Physical Education with a minor in management and a concentration in coaching.

At MVCC, Warren was named the Region III and Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year in 2004. He has assisted many of his student-athletes in their transfer to four-year colleges. Warren has had 11 student-athletes achieve NJCAA Academic All-American status, and several former players have signed professional contracts, including 2013 MLB All-Star Patrick Corbin, who now pitches for the Washington Nationals. Coach Warren has ammassed over 350 wins in his time at the MVCC Baseball helm.
