The Mohawk Valley Men's Basketball team took down the Lazers of Onondaga on Saturday afternoon by a final score of 102-94. 

The Hawks had 5 players in double figures, and were led by stellar performances by Travis Gray who had 33 points, and Ike Sheppard who had 27 points and 13 rebounds. Despite leading 47-29 at the half, the Lazers stormed back late in the second half and were able to cut the lead to 10 within 2 minutes remaining. 

However, the Hawks depth proved to be of importance as Jamir Smith added 11 points, 5 assists, Jordan Drain dropped in 10 points, and Lateef Johnson had 11 points and 7 rebounds to help secure the win for the Hawks on the first game of a 2 game road trip of western New York.
