#12 Hawks earn victory over Columbia Greene, 86-52

Mohawk Valley Men's Basketball took on Columbia Greene on Wednesday evening in a 7:00 PM contest, at the Jorgenson Center on the campus of Mohawk Valley.

Lateef Johnson led the way for the Hawks with 20 points, and earned his 9th straight double doube of the season with 12 rebounds.

Freshman sharpshooter Gabe Canez scored a career high 18 points to give the Hawks a huge boost off the bench. Isaiah Earl continued his stellar play scoring 16 points, and Keon Armstrong rounded out the double figure scoring for Mohawk Valley with a 10 point performance.

"One of our biggest strengths is that we have a number of players that are capable of scoring the basketball at a high clip, and our group is comfortable allowing the flow of the game dictate who is the leading scorer on any particular night. And I thought Gabe was a huge key for us tonight in the way that he synergized our team with not only his scoring but the positive energy he infused into the game. I'm happy with the outcome certainly but I really believe that we are just touching the surface of who we are capable of being in late February/March. I am excited to continue to improve and work to be the best versions of ourselves. We have a few days to clean up some things, and then we have a competitive weekend ahead of us. Coach Sweet has Adirondack playing some great basketball right now and we know its going to be challenging game for our group on Saturday afternoon." - Coach Fuller said after the Hawks 7th straight victory.
