The Hawks Men's Basketball Team took on Corning Community College at 2:00 PM today, on the campus of Mohawk Valley Community College.

Mohawk Valley got off to a great start in the 1st half, as Lateef Johnson and Jalen Bradberry set the tone early pushing the pace for the green and white. Johnson notched a very impressive 19 points in the first half, and Bradberry had an efficient 9 point, 5 assist half,  including a thunderous dunk to ignite the Hawks crowd.

The Hawks defense proved to be a huge reason for the 1st half success, as they headed into the locker room with a 41-23 lead.

In the second half, it was more of the same for MV. Tyruse Boock knocked down a big three to start off the 2nd half, off of a set play for the Hawks. That shot ignited the energy on the defensive end. On ensuing possessions, Keon Armstrong and Isaiah Earl utilized their size and athleticism to add numerous highlight real dunks, defensive plays, and rebounding to extend the lead.

In a game where every available Hawk touched the floor, Michael Moreno was also impressive adding some high level defense, and a number of assists for the hometown Hawks.

The Hawks ultimately defeated the Red Barons by a final score of 90-61.

Lateef Johnson lead the way for the Hawks with a 23 point double double for the green and white in just 26 minutes of action. Jalen Bradberry notched 17 points, and 6 assists. Keon Armstrong added a double digit scoring outing with 11 points, and Tyruse Boock and Isaiah Earl added 10 points a piece.

"Defensively we are continuing to reach for more every time we step out on the floor. I was proud of our togetherness and connectivity today. Every day we are building and we look forward to another challenge on Monday evening." Coach Fuller stated following the victory.

The Hawks will be back in action on Monday as they travel to Clinton Community College in a contest slated for a 6:00 PM start.
