
The Hawks took on a NJCAA Division 2 opponent SUNY Ulster on Thursday evening.
Early on the Hawks came out firing on all cylinders and that carried on throughout the game as they ultimately defeated the Senators by a final score of 98-51.
Mohawk Valley had 7 players score in double figures on the evening in route to their highest scoring output so far of the young season, improving to 3-0.
On Thursday night the Hawks were led by Sophomore Guard Jalen Bradberry who contributed 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Sophomore Forward Isaiah Earl who contributed a 13 point, 5 rebound performance.
Andre Pasha and Alex Barnhill continued their stellar play, both contributing a double double. Pasha with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and Barnhill with 10 points and 10 rebounds. James Collar also sparked the Hawks scoring 12 points on two quick 3 point field goals, and some impressive defensive effort as well, in his college debut.
Furthermore, Guards Khai Pugh and Jamir Smith also made their impact felt. Pugh added a few thunderous transition dunks and great assists in route to 10 points 6 rebounds 4 assists and 3 steals, and Jamir Smith dished out 6 assists in addition to his efficient 11 points.
Cam Pownall added another impressive outing to his resume as he added 6 points to the Hawks total, Jae-Shaun Felder added 8 points 4 rebounds and a steal, and AJ Burns added 6 points 4 rebounds and 2 blocks to round out the scoring for the green and white.
The Hawks will be back in action next week as they travel to North Country on Wednesday to take on a talented Saints Team.
