#7 Hawks Defeat #6 Raiders, 88-63

In a matchup of two nationally ranked teams, #7 Mohawk Valley defeated #6 Fulton Montgomery by a final score of 88-63. 

The Hawks came out firing and were able to put together a high level performance in the first half on both sides of the ball. This led to a 15 point lead when the first half ended.

The second half was more of the same for the green and white as they led by as much as 32 points with 11 minutes remaining in the second half. Ultimately, the Hawks were able to lead from wire to wire and complete the victory over the #6 ranked Raiders. 

Alex Barnhill led the way with an impressive performance on both sides of the floor, netting 31 points, pulling down 10 rebounds, on 10/15 shooting from the floor, and 6/7 from the 3 point line. 

Andre Pasha added his 6th straight double double of the season scoring 17 points, and pulling down 12 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists on 7/10 shooting.

Jamir Smith scored 13 points and dished out 5 assists and his backcourt mate Jalen Bradberry fought through some early foul trouble but made his presense felt in the second half netting 13 points, grabbing 6 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists. Isaiah Earl also had another quality all around game grabbing 10 points and pulling down 7 rebounds after also playing through some early foul trouble. 

Guards James Collar and Khai Pugh also made quality contributions for the Hawks to help aid in the victory. Pugh scored 5 points and dished out 6 assists, and Collar's impact was made through some impressive defensive efforts in addition to a strong finish early in the second half to keep that Hawks trending in a positive direction.

The Hawks will be back in action on Friday evening as they travel to Finger Lakes to take on the Lakers in a game slated for a 7 PM Tip.
