
On Friday afternoon, the #2-ranked Mohawk Valley Community College Hawks delivered an impressive performance, defeating the Erie Community College Kats 85-63 in their first game of the second semester. The Hawks showcased their depth and talent, with contributions from across the roster, as 14 players saw action in the contest.
Isaiah Earl led the way for Mohawk Valley, scoring a team-high 20 points to fuel the offensive attack. Jalen Bradberry was a standout performer, nearly recording a triple-double with 18 points, 7 assists, and 10 rebounds, demonstrating his all-around impact on both ends of the floor. Andre Pasha, Alex Barnhill, and Khai Pugh also scored in double figures, adding firepower to the Hawks' balanced offensive effort.
The Hawks also benefitted from strong contributions off the bench, with Cam Pownall, Javon Smith, and AJ Burns providing energy and key plays to help maintain the team's momentum throughout the game.
Mohawk Valley's defense was equally dominant, holding another opponent under 65 points while limiting Erie's scoring opportunities and creating turnovers that fueled their transition game.
With this victory, Mohawk Valley improves its record and builds momentum heading into their next matchup. The Hawks will be back in action on Tuesday afternoon, traveling to face Jamestown Community College for another NJCAA D2 opponent.
