
Mohawk Valley 90 Fmcc 70, Friday, February 21st
The Mohawk Valley Hawks capped off their regular season in style, securing a convincing 90-70 road victory over Fulton Montgomery on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Hawks finish the regular season with a 23-1 record.
MVCC came out strong, battling through a competitive first half to take a 10-point lead into the break. The Hawks then turned up the intensity in the second half, firing on all cylinders and never looking back. Their unselfish play was on full display as they dished out 23 assists in the victory.
Jalen Bradberry had a lights-out performance, leading the way with 31 points, including 9-for-14 shooting from beyond the arc. Alex Barnhill delivered a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. Jamir Smith added 18 points and 6 assists, while Andre Pasha rounded out the double-digit scorers with his own double-double, contributing 10 points and 12 rebounds.
With the regular season in the books, the Hawks now shift their focus to the postseason as they look to carry their momentum into the NJCAA Region 3 Tournament.
Mohawk Valley 68 Clinton 62, Thursday, February 20th
The Mohawk Valley Hawks hit the road Thursday for a tough matchup against Clinton Community College and came away with a gritty 68-62 victory in the closing minutes.
In a back-and-forth battle, the Hawks maintained their composure down the stretch to secure the win. Jamir Smith led the charge with a standout performance, finishing with 21 points and 5 assists. Isaiah Earl was dominant in the paint, contributing a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Pasha made his presence felt with 14 points and 9 rebounds, just shy of a double-double himself.
Khai Pugh continued his strong play, delivering an all-around effort with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals to help propel the Hawks to victory.
Mohawk Valley 79 Hudson Valley 54, Wednesday, February 19th
In the first of three matchups this past week, the Mohawk Valley Hawks put on a high level performance against the Hudson Valley Vikings on Wednesday evening, securing a commanding 79-54 victory.
The Hawks came out firing, building an early lead and heading into halftime with a 41-26 advantage. Their balanced offensive attack and strong team chemistry were on full display, as nine different players scored in double figures. MVCC dished out an impressive 23 assists, showcasing their unselfish play and offensive efficiency.
Jalen Bradberry led the charge with 19 points, while AJ Burns made a strong impact with 12 points and 5 rebounds. Andre Pasha and Isaiah Earl each contributed 10 points to the effort. Cam Pownall delivered a well-rounded performance with 7 points and 7 rebounds, and Jashaun Felder added 7 points while making key defensive plays.
