Hawks dominate puck control in victory

The MVCC hockey team is back on the winning track following Sunday's victory over SUNY Oneonta Ice Hockey Club at the Utica Auditorium.

The Hawks skated to a 5-3 victory after taking a 2-0 lead in the first period. This victory improved MVCC to 5-9-1 overall, but the Hawks are 4-5 on home ice.

Opening the scoring for MVCC in the first period was John Rhoades off a pass from Joe Giglio while this lead was extended on a goal Ryan Reilley with the assists going to Brian Stoya and Jake Bialek.

The Hawks continued to dominate control of the puck in the second period as Nick Decrisci with Matt Thompson and Connor Foose getting the assist.

Reilley hooked up with Bialek in the final period for his second goal of the game. The icing on the game was scoring during a power play when Logan Fournier put one between the pipes with Steven Ortloff and Decrisci getting the assist.
