Hawks drop second game of season

The MVCC (0-2) ice hockey team is still looking for its first victory of the young season as the Hawks skated to a 9-1 loss to Hudson Valley Community College Tuesday in Troy, N.Y.

After falling back 1-0 in the first period, the Hawks came back with a goal in the second period. But the Vikings then tallied four goals in the second and third periods.

Hudson Valley was led by James Murphy with three goals and one assist while Matt Wagner added two goals. William Huber scored one goal and assisted on two others while Shayne Mensing, Scott Dunham and Ethan Bleau finished with one goal each.
