The #5 MVCC Men's soccer team went on to beat Jefferson Community College by a score of 4-0 on Saturday evening. Alvaro Pineda first got on the board when Jesus Sanchez crossed the ball into the box and Pineda blasted home the one-time finish. Jesus Sanchez would score his first goal of the season when Gustavo Paz Koch tapped a ball past the goalkeeper and Jesus Sanchez finished it for the 2-0 lead. Mario D'Elia would find his first tally of the year when he received a cross from Marlon Armenta and finished the opportunity. Admar Goncalves would also register his first goal on the year when Marco Paolo Saavedra touched the ball past the goalkeeper and Goncalves was there to tap it in. Jamie Toft and Breno Guimaraes would earn the shutout for the Hawks.

"Jefferson defended well as a team and we weren't our best in front of goal tonight. I thought we did a good job creating chances in front of goal and were sound defensively. " stated Coach DiMaggio

The #5 Hawks have a quick turnaround when they return to the pitch tomorrow from a 12:00PM kickoff against visiting Jamestown Community College.
