Hawks finish season with win, open up NJCAA Tournament with FMCC

The MVCC Men's Soccer team finished the regular season with a 3-0 win over North Country Community College. The Hawks first got on the board when Lucas Beja found Chieck Kaba for the goal. The Hawks would get their second tally when Beja would find Mario D'Elia for the finish. Dougy Barrera would score on a penalty kick to secure the 3-0 for the Hawks. Breno Guimaraes would pick up his first career shutout in the match.

MVCC received the 3 seed in the NJCAA Region III Tournament and will face Fulton Montgomery Community College who received the 6 seed. The winner of that match will go on to play the winner of Genesee Community College and Jefferson Community College in the Region III "B" Championship match. The Hawks take on the Raiders on Wednesday on 10/26 at SUNY Poly for a 2:00PM kickoff.

"I think guys are eager to play Fulton Montgomery again. They got the best of us the first time we played which ended up being our only loss this season. I think we are a bit more focused and prepared this time around." Stated Head Coach Dom DiMaggio
