#5 Hawks take down Cannoneers on the road

The Mohawk Valley Men's Soccer team traveled to Jefferson Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks opened up the scoring just 45 seconds into the game when Alieu Barre played Gustavo Nunes who curled a shot from 30 yards out into the top corner of the goal. Lucas Beja would strike in the 22nd minute on a pass from Nunes to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead. Jefferson would cut the lead in half with 13 minutes left in the game. Gustavo Paz Koch would combine with Tony Gjomemo on top of the box and curl the shot into the outstretch JCC goalkeeper to put the final nail in the coffin.

Breno Guimaraes would finish the game with 1 save on route to his 3rd straight win. The Hawks held a 23-2 advantage in shots along with a 12-2 advantage on goal. The Hawks would finish with 6 corner kicks while the Cannoneers would finish with 0. JCC goalkeeper would finish the game with 9 saves.

The Hawks return to action on Monday 9/18 when they head to Auburn, NY to take on undefeated Cayuga Community College who is currently 5-0.
