The #5 Men's Soccer team traveled to north to SUNY Adirondack on Wednesday afternoon, to take on the Timberwolves. The Hawks drew first blood just 3 minutes into the game when Alonso Fernandez Guirao found Jesus Sanchez who blasted home the attempt into the top corner. Gustavo Nunes would be the next to strike when Alvaro Pineda found Nunes who finished the attempt.
Nunes struck again just 30 seconds later to give the Hawks a 3-0 lead. As the game progressed, Alvaro Pineda received a ball from Nunes and put home the opportunity for his first goal of the game. Alonso Fernandez Guirao would receive a ball from Alieu Barrie and put away the opportunity to put the Hawks up 5-0 just 25 minutes into the game.
Barre later found Gustavo Paz Koch for his first tally of the game to give the Hawks a 6-0 lead heading into halftime. Ale Seho would get his first tally of the game on a pass from Cameron Moag in the 57th minute to put the Hawks up 6-0. Joao D'Addario would find his first tally of the season on a pass from Sam Janes. D'Addario would strike again just 3 minutes later when Ismail Borow found D'Addario for his second goal of the game. Sam Janes would get fouled in the penalty box which resulted in Pedro Munhoz smashing home the penalty kick to put the Hawks up 10-0. The Timberwolves would find there lone goal of the game in the 87th minute to close out the game 10-1.
Breno Guimaraes and Jaime Mata would combine for 1 save in the win while the Timberwolves would finish the game with 11 saves. The Hawks held a 33-3 advantage in shots while holding a 20-2 advantage in shots on goal. The Hawks also held a 5-0 advantage on corner kicks.
The Hawks return to action on Friday evening for a 6:30PM kickoff against SUNY Broome. Friday's match is also United Elite Krajisnik FC Youth Night!
