Jammeh and Beja named NJCAA All-Americans

Fasaikou Jammeh and Lucas Beja have both been named All-Americans by the NJCAA. Jammeh, a captain center back from Bronx, New York, was a key defender for the Hawks who made it to the NJCAA National Championship game. Fasaikou recorded 2 goals and 1 assist on the season. He was a major contributor to the Hawks 8 shutouts on the season.

Lucas Beja, a striker from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, had a stellar season in front of goal for the Hawks as he tallied 16 goals and 8 assists for 40 points. Beja lead the Hawks in goals, assists, and points this season.

"Jammeh and Beja were excellent for us this season. Jammeh was one of the best defenders in the country at our level and Beja scored some huge goals for us in big games. When Gustavo Nunes went down with an injury, Beja was right there to pick up the pieces. It's a great achievement for both and very well deserved." stated Head Coach Dominic DiMaggio.

The Hawks had a historic season as they won the Mountain Valley Conference, Region III Championship, District Championship, and advanced to the National Championship match. The Hawks were undefeated heading into the National Championship and finished the season 15-1-3.
