
The MVCC Men's Soccer team went on to defeat SUNY Broome by a score of 12-1 on Wednesday evening. Gustavo Nunes got on the board just 3 minutes into the game when he was fouled inside of the penalty area. Nunes stepped up and put home the PK to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Santiago Molina found his first tally of the game less than 2 minutes later when Nunes found Molina for the goal. Molina and Nunes hooked up again just 14 minutes into the game to put the Hawks up 3-0. Molina found his third tally of the game just 15 minutes in the match on a pass from Lucas Lacerda. Two minutes later, Davi Moretzsohn found Nunes to give him his second tally of the game. Nunes completed his hat-trick just two minutes later on a pass from Molina. Molina then scored the next two goals to give him 5 goals on the game on passes from Souayibou Diop and Moretzsohn to give the Hawks a 8-0 lead just 25 minutes into the game. Javier Montesions Da Torre found his first tally of the season on a pass from Jorge Angeles to put the Hawks up 9-0. SUNY Broome and MVCC would both be awarded penalty kicks in which the both capitalized on to make it a 10-1 game. Victor Paganini would finish the PK attempt for the Hawks.
The Hawks would continue their pursuit in the second half when Alejandro Limardo Vasquez would find his first goal of the season on a pass from Amir Halilovic. Amadou Amar would finish off the scoring for the Hawks on a pass from Giorgos Spyrou to close the game 12-1. Jaime Mata and Leo Elsdon would combine for 1 save in the win.
