The #2 MVCC Men's soccer team was dealt their first loss of the season to #5 Cayuga Spartans. The Hawks scored the first goal of the game when Lucas Lacerda found Santiago Molina to put the Hawks up 1-0. The Spartans would answer back when Jacob Botteril would put the first time finish past Jaime Mata. Botteril would strike again with a minute left in the first half to give the Spartans a 2-1 lead. The Hawks would continue to generate chances in the second half but were unable to find the equalizer. Cayuga goalkeeper Major Evans would finish the game with 4 saves while Jaime Mata would finish the game with 2 saves.

The Hawks return to action when they take on Jefferson Community College on Saturday, September 14th at D'Alessandro Stadium at 6:00PM.
