The MVCC Men's Soccer team traveled to Saranac Lake to take on North Country Community College. The Hawks opened up the scoring just 4 minutes into the game when Lucas Lacerda would receive a ball on the top of the box from Javier Montesinos Da Torre, Lacerda would finish the opportunity in the lower corner of the net to put the Hawks up 1-0. Javier Montesinos Da Torre would the earn his first tally of the game on a pass from Gustavo Nunes. Santiago Molina was fouled in the box which led to him converting on the penalty kick to put the Hawks up 3-0. Dan Beltran would earn his first tally of the season on a pass from Gustavo Nunes to put the Hawks up 4-0. Santiago Molina would receive a pass from Davi Moretzsohn and slot home the attempt to give the Hawks a 5-0 lead. Joao Fuentes would take a shot on goal which was saved by the Saints goalkeeper but Molina was there for the rebound to complete a hat-trick on the night to put the Hawks up 6-0. Mihaljo Jankovic would then receive a ball from Davi Moretzsohn and tuck away the opportunity to give the Hawks a 7-0 lead. Gustavo Nunes would earn his first tally of the game on a pass from Davi Moretzsohn to put the Hawks up 8-0 heading into halftime.
Joao Funetes would be the first to strike in the second half on a pass from Tony Gjomemo to put the Hawks up 9-0. Andrew Dischiavo would find his first tally of the season on a pass from Ahmadou Amar. Dischiavo would strike again less than 1 minute later on a pass from Dereck Correa to put the Hawks up 11-0. Dereck Correa would close out the scoring on a ball from Kevin Binde to finish the game 12-0. Jaime Mata and Malone Vanstone would combine for the shutout for the Hawks.
The Hawks return to action when they take on NJCAA Division 1, #18 nationally ranked Monroe Community College on Friday evening at 7:00PM at D'Alessandro Stadium in Utica, NY.
