The MVCC Men's Soccer team hosted NJCAA Division 1 opponent and #18 nationally ranked Monroe Tribunes on Friday evening. Each team was able to create opportunities in goal but neither team was able to find the game winner. Jaime Mata was credited with the shutout for the Hawks and also recorded a huge save in the first five minutes of the game to keep the game scoreless.

"Today's game had a postseason atmosphere to it." stated Head Coach Dom DiMaggio. "These games are extremely important and help us prepare for our goals this season."

The Hawks move to 6-2-2 on the season while the Tribunes move to 9-2-1 on the season. The Hawks return to action on Saturday when they travel to Hudson Valley Community College for a 2:15PM kickoff.
