
The MVCC Men's Soccer team traveled to Fulton Montgomery on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks first got on the board when Santiago Molina played a ball into David Perez who headed home the attempt to give the Hawks a 1-0. The Hawks struck again when Gustavo Nunes played Santiago Molina who slotted home the opportunity to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, the Raiders would serve a free kick into the box that was headed past Hawk goalkeeper Jaime Mata, to make the game 2-1. The Raiders would receive a red card shortly after putting FMCC down to 10 players. The Raiders counter attacked on a MVCC freekick and beat Mata to tie the game 2-2. Daniel Beltran was issued a second yellow card to put the Hawks down to 10 men with 20 minutes remaining. The Hawks created many opportunities but could not beat the FMCC goalkeeper.
The #8 Hawks (8-2-3) return to action for their regular season finale against cross-town rival #2 Nationally ranked Herkimer College Generals (9-0). The game will be held at Herkimer College on October 16th at 4:00PM. The Hawks are 1-0-1 in the last 2 meetings against the Generals.
