Hawks place 7 on All-Conference team, DiMaggio named Coach of the Year 

The MVCC Men's Soccer team had 7 players named to the All-Conference teams. Santiago Molina Villafane, Gustavo Nunes, Davi Pena Moretzsohn, Souayibou Dip, David Perez Salgado, and Tony Gjomemo were all named to the 1st Team All Mountain Valley Conference. 

Santiago Molina, a freshman from Estella-Lizarra, Spain set the single season goal scoring record this season which was held by Zach Gleasman in 2019. Molina's 26 goals surpassed the previous record of 21 goals. Molina's 26 goals is 2nd best in the country. Molina has also dished out 13 assists on the season. 

Gustavo Nunes, a sophomore from Belo Horizonte, Brazil found the back of the net 17 times this season and also dished out 11 assists. Nunes currently has 32 career goals as a Hawk which 4 behind all-time leader Armin Budnjo who found the back of the net 36 times from 2010-2011. 

Davi Pena Moretzsohn, a freshman also from Belo Horiztone, Brazil has started every game in the midfield for the Hawks this season. Moretzsohn has found the back of the net twice this season while assisting on 13 other goals. His 13 assists are tied for 8th in the country along with teammate Molina. 

Souayibou Diop, a freshman from Bronx, New York has played a pivotal role alongside Moretzsohn in the midfield. Diop has 2 goals on the season while recording 5 assists. 

David Perez Salgado, a freshman from Vigo, Spain has been an anchor for the Hawks defense while finding the back of the net 3 times this season. 

Tony Gjomemo, the Hawks Captain has played multiple roles for the Hawks this season. His leadership and communication are a vital part of the Hawks success this year. Gjomemo has one assist on the season. 

Coach Dominic DiMaggio was named Mountain Valley Conference Coach of the Year.
