Track Opens up Spring Campaign

In our season opener on the men's side,  Keenan Cannon started off the action for the Hawks  winning the long and triple jump. Overall, Keenan is currently ranked number one in the nation in the long  ump and is ranked 3rd in the nation in triple jump, after a spectacular showing. 

Furthermore, Brian Reile came in first in the 110m hurdles. His time of 15.96 place him in third place in the nation. Reile is also currently ranked number one in high jump nationally,  with an incredible overall height of 6'4. 

Omar Mohamed continues to add the accolades to his impressive career. Mohamed won his heat in the 1500m, and came in 2nd during the 5000m.  Omar is currently ranked number one in the nation in the 5000m and ranked 4th in the nation in the 1500m.  His performance earned him the award for NJCAA National Athlete of the week. 

Rounding it out for the men's side, Quinn Jennings had a great showing for MV, as his performance put him at 7th overall nationally in the shot put. Alongside Jennings, Jimmy Riley started off the year in impressive fashion as well. Hi high level javelin skills were put on full display for the Hawks. His performance was good enough to put him inside the top 10 nationally, at number 9. 

On the women's side, Jacey Hinds had a third place finish in the 100m and anchored the women's 4x100 relay team to a first place finish. The members of that impressive relay team were Breanne Millson, Olga Alchremenko, and Sydney Hight. That group of ladies is currently ranked number 3 in the country. Additionally, Breanne Millson won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:15:89 for the green and white. Her performance puts her at number 1 nationally in the 400m hurdles to start the season.
