The Women's and Men's Cross country teams competed in the conference championships at Herkimer CC this past Saturday afternoon. The Hawk's season thus far as been filled with a number of memorable individual performances as well as impressive team victories. Saturday was truly a culmination of hard work paying off both the men's and women's side for the Coach Cull led Hawks. 

First off for the women, a team consisting of Lauren Suppe, Caleigh McQueeney , Katie Bauer, Madison Battisti, Lacey Meredith and Cheryl Biebly competed fiercly in pursuit of greatness on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Herkimer. As a result of their determination, the Mohawk Valley Women's Cross Country team was crowned 2023 Conference Champions. Lauren Suppe finished second overall in the standings, Caleigh McQueeney third, and Katie Bauer finished 4th. All three of these talented young ladies earned 1st team all conference recognition as a result of their success.

On the men's side, Omar Mohamed continued his incredible year by earning a conference championship, and 1st team all conference for 2023! In addition to Mohameds individual performance, the Hawks also recieved high level contributions from 1st team all conference members Garrett Bobowski and Adin Kapo. The Hawks men's team finished 2nd in the conference overall for 2023. 

Next stop for both teams will be Regionals at Finger Lakes Community College on October 28th, as the Hawks look to compete for regional championships!
