Coach Cull and the Mohawk Valley Cross Country team traveled to nearby SUNY Poly to compete in one of the most highly anticipated meets of the 2024 campaign this past week. 

After the event, Coach Cull stated that he was "very impressed with the overall efforts of his team" and also commented on the spirited performances of Katie Bauer and Caleigh McQeeney. 

Bauer and McQeeney competed in the 6K event at the SUNY Poly Invitational, and both of the impressive runners were able to contribute high level performance for the Hawks. Katie Bauer tallied an inspiring performance of 27:57 in the event, and that gave her a 1st place finish amongst all Junior College athletes competing. 

Just a couple minutes behind Bauer, was a Caleigh McQeeney. McQeeney had impressive race of her own, sporting a 29:45 which gave her a second place finish amongst all Junior College athletes competing. 

With the Hartwick Invitational being cancelled, the Hawks will be back in action on October 12th, as they travel to Houghton College as they prepare for their Conference Meet at Herkimer the following weekend.
