The Mohawk Valley Women's Softball team battled Broome Community College this week in their first double header of the year. On the mound, Alivia Neff was impressive in game 1, striking out 12 to pace the Hawks. The bats were hot for the Hawks as Freshman Mackenzie Emmons went 2/3 with a 2 run home run, fellow Freshman Faith Nicks went 2/4 with a double, and Alivia Neff went 1/4 with an RBI double of her own. Ultimately, Emmons clutch homerun and the back to back doubles by Neff/Hicks sealed the deal for the Hawks, who won Game #1, 4-1.
