The Hawks Travel to South Carolina for Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic

The MVCC softball team is set to play their first game on March 10th in South Carolina. The Hawks will participate at the Fastpitch Dream Classic in North Myrtle Beach. 
The Hawks are led offensively by sophomore Faith Hicks, who finished her last season batting .343. Also looking to make an impact are sophomore's Mackenzie Emmons, Joely Welpe, Kylei Cavelino, Santina Yacobucci, Abby Dewar, and Alexis Townsend.

In the circle, Angelina Hays returns for her third season. She brings leadership and experience and is a true force on the mound. Also returning to the mound is Kendall Darling, Abby Dewar and incoming freshman Jenna Riesel. Hawks bring in eleven new freshman to the program who are looking to establish a foundation.

The Hawks will open the tournament on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. against Juliet Junior College. Game 2 will kick-off at 11:00 a.m. against the Community College of Rhode Island. Hawks will follow up opening day with 6 games over the course of the week. On Monday first pitch is at 11am vs Potomac  State College and 3pm vs Prairie State College. On Wednesday the Hawks kick off at 9am vs Madison College and 3pm vs Prairie State College. On Thursday Hawks play at 11am vs Moraine Valley CC and 3pm vs Danville Area CC.
